Troop 183 was founded in January 1983 and has been active in the character development of young men for more than 35 years. We adhere to the principles of a “boy-led” troop where the program content, meeting planning, Patrol Method, and leadership comes from the Scouts themselves, while adults provide guidance and support.

“The patrol method is not a way to operate a Boy Scout troop—it is the only way.”

Robert Baden-Powell; Boy Scouts founder – 1910

We also believe that regardless of the rank earned or the length of time he is a Boy Scout, each boy should experience an outstanding Boy Scout program that he will remember fondly and proudly all his life.

Boy Scout Troop 183 is a proud part of the Noblesville, Indiana community, where it has been since its founding in January 1983.  Our troop meets at Bethel Lutheran Church, 20650 Cumberland Road, Noblesville, IN 46062.

Troop 183 meets on Monday evenings from 7:00-8:30PM at Bethel Lutheran Church in Noblesville, except for national and school holidays.  Please contact our Scoutmaster Grumpy for details or to arrange a visit.  And don’t forget to ask how he got that name!
