We want to thank St. Michael’s Episcopal church for three decades of love and support. On those years almost 70 Eagle Scouts have come through the troop. We now are thankful for Bethel Lutheran Church for hosting the now-bigger troop and look forward to new adventures!
Troop Meetings:
Our meetings are Mondays (except for national and school holidays) from 7:00-8:30PM at Bethel Lutheran Church at 20650 Cumberland Road, Noblesville, IN 46062.

• Jacob (Brownie) has raised enough money for his Eagle Project. It will be on November 3, 10 am to whenever it is finished. He is taking out everything from a storage area, putting in new shelves, and then organizing everything. Congrats to him for raising the money.
• Congrats to new Star Scout, Henry Wasemann!
• Don’t forget to sign up for the Gatlinburg trip the first week of fall break. The trip is from October 6 to October 9. We will be hiking in the Smoky Mountains and going to see Clingman’s Dome.
• The sign up for Fall Camporee or ‘Cookoree’ is closed. You still can go, but there is a higher fee for walk in scouts.

We have three new Eagle Scouts who completed their Eagle Board of Review this month. Congrats to Alex, Cullen, and Chase!

• Blue cards are due today for recognition at the Court of Honor.

• Carter received Scout rank!
• Brownie is still fundraising for his Eagle Project. He still needs $700.
• Troop 103 has invited us to join them on their boundary waters canoe trip. you must b first class and 13.
• We are going to Gatlinburg to do hiking for fall break. This is the first week of fall break.
• Sign up sheets for campouts merit badges, and service hours are in the back if you are interested.

This meeting’s focus was on finishing partial merit badges! Scouts were able to wrap up fifteen merit badges. Next week’s meeting (Aug 13) will continue this process.
In order to help scouts be more aware of upcoming opportunities, a set of clip boards will be at the back of the scout meeting for signing up. Having a sign up sheet will allow scouts to express their interest in an activity and doesn’t require the parent to share reminders from Scoutbook (please still do so, but this is another way to ensure scouts know how they can participate).

The troop supported Cullen’s Eagle Project by organizing 2300 lbs of food at Ivy Tech collected outside Kroger during the first two weekends of his project. The troop sorted items into barrels by type, loaded them into boxes, and put them in storage. Cullen’s project beneficiary, Mrs. Trusty, spoke to the troop about the Noblesville Weekend Meal Pack program, thanking the troop and sharing that 180 elementary school students participate and that the food collected these two weekends is enough to address the needs of the program for a year.
Next meeting: water baloon capture the flag. Dress appropriately (swim suit, and Activity Uniform)

There are name tags for scouts. Pick one up at the next meeting. Adults can purchase a name badge for $2.50.
Treasurer (Doug K.): Adults — if you picked up a troop T-Shirt at summer camp, you need to pay for it. If you ordered a shirt and didn’t pick it up, you can do so at a troop meeting.
Advancement (Kim I.): Merit Badge blue cards from summer camp have been entered into Scoutbook. If you have an incomplete, please pick up your blue card. It will clearly have any remaining items marked.
Committee: Looking for a secretary to take over recording notes at committee meetings. The current volunteer is looking to move to a new volunteer position.
Thanks to the 27 scouts and 9 leaders who helped out with summer camp at Kreitenstien last week. The boys had a great time an overcame some challenges such as not having running water for drinking and for showers!
Camp Krietenstein is a smaller camp than our typical Camp Ransburg. This means a few fewer program offerings but program areas are closer together. Troop 183 was by far the largest troop in camp this past week (around 40 vs a total of perhaps 80 total campers). Scouts and leaders made some of these comments about camp:
